It was a beautiful hotel in beautiful surroundings. The staff were very friendly and the rooms very comfortable and the attention to detail was great. We had dinner in the restuaurant and we couldn't fault it, tasted great and decent portions.
Someone complained that our TV was too loud (twice) when it wasn't so either the walls are too thin or we were unfortunate with the people in the next room. The cooked breakfast was a disappointment, the mushroom on the plate was half a mushroom and the eggs had hard yolks, poached and fried which wasn't to our taste.
Our stay was a romantic anniversary weekend and it couldn't have been better. We spent quite some time searching for the loo and were in fits when we did - excellent decor, excellent location, excellent staff (both friendly and professional), excellent food and we shall definitely be returning for a longer stay in the near future. Thank you for the opportunity of booking through your site, everything was so easy! Xx
The updating of the Midland is good, whilst still maintaining the ambience of the 30s style. The position is excellent, with access to the Lakes not far away. The views from the dining room mean a lingering meal is called for both at breakfast and evening meal times, and the staff respect this.
Don't expect 21st century comfort. The essence of the 30s is all about style and a lack of clutter. The room chairs are stylish but not meant for a lengthy relax. Arriving on a Sunday afternoon meant that the hotel was busy and the car park crowded with non-residents, including children running about. The staff in the Rotunda Bar were not prompt in serving us. This meant that first impressions were not good, but once only residents were around the atmosphere changed for the better. A little more attention to the cleaning in the Rotunda, especially the stools and floor, is needed.
we enjoyed the stay very much could relax and the deco was lovely the room was very clean would defanatly stay there again .
The hotel itself was art deco at its best. Very quirky and stylish. The staff were extremely helpful, especially Dorota who went out of her way to help, always with a smile. Finding the toilet in the room was a real surprise!!
I enjoyed my stay at the Midland, The rooms are very comfortable and the food is excellent. Also the staff are very helpful especially the young blonde girl on reception. She was very nice and couldn't do enough for us. The bar is comfortable and a nice place to have a nightcap. All in all we couldn't fault it. We would stay again.
There was nothing we didn,t like about the hotel.
My wife and I stayed at the Midland because it is Art Deco and for that it is superb, The staff are excellent but the hotel for it's price is lacking some facilities. Morecambe beachfront gardens are wonderfull but the town is a bit of a dump.
Lovely location, beautifully designed, helpful staff.
Had trouble finding the toilet!! (Hidden in cupboard) I prefer a bath to a shower
Brilliant stay - have already rebooked! Fabulous Art deco design, quirky touches in very comfortable bedroom, fantastic location virtually on beach, very friendly staff especially at reception, good spa.
The staff were very pleasant and the food was very good, especially the fish.
Morecambe seems a bit tired but nothing the hotel can do about that. maybe that is different in Spring/Summer as the weather was hoorendous during our stay.
the building design and the sun room are beautiful.
two twin beds do not make a doubleno wifi
The room upgrade to sea view, as my initial room was very noisy
Thay need to start wekkend deals
The building and the rooms were soooo lovely! Nice little spa - well priced treatments, lovely food and general hotel facilities excellent, a lovely seaside break
Short cocktail list in the rotunda bar, lack of experience of bar staff. Food came too quickly at evening meal. Needed to ask staff to give us a longer break between courses - food good though!
The wonderful history and heritage of the hotel, the rooms were wonderful and the views of Morecambe bay were spectacular. All the staff seemed very happy and helpful
A First Class Hotel good service good food well cooked, only stayed for 1 night but will use hotel again in the future
